Area Man Drives into Ditch, Damages Pickup

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating an accident in which a Hawkeye man drove his pickup into a ditch.

Authorities were notified of the accident shortly after midnight on Wednesday, July 15th.

Deputies were called to an area near the intersection of 175th Street and "V" Avenue, northeast of Sumner.

41 year old Kevin Converse of Hawkeye was driving west on 175th Street, when he lost control of his vehicle, driving it into the ditch.

No one was injured, but there was $3,000 in damage to his 2013 Ford F-150. The accident is still under investigation.
