Area Man Charged in Fayette Co. Accident

An area man is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident Monday morning (Feb. 3), near Oran.

The Fayette County Sheriff, Oran Fire and First Responders, and MercyOne Oelwein ambulance were called to the scene, just east of Oran, at the intersection of Highway 3 and V-68, at about 11:30am Monday.

A northbound car driven by 61 year old Randy Rose of Westgate, pulled out into the intersection and collided with a car driven by 38 year old Daniel Aquilera of Waterloo.

No one had to be taken to a hospital.

Rose is being charged with Failure to Yield.
