An Arlington man faces multiple charges, after leading authorities on a chase through a corn field.

At about 8am October 16th, the Fayette County Sheriff was called to a residence on "E" Avenue, for a domestic disturbance.

When law enforcement arrived at the scene, the suspect, 23 year old Blaine Recker fled in a vehicle. Recker led Iowa State Troopers and Fayette County deputies on a chase, which later ended in a field, southwest of Arlington. Recker then fled on foot.

Authorities issued warrants on Recker, for Driving While Barred, and Eluding.
On Friday (Oct. 25), at about 10am, Recker was found at a residence in Strawberry Point, and taken into custody.

The incident remains under investigation, and additional charges may be filed, including Criminal Mischief for the corn and soybeans that were damaged by Recker during the chase.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Clayton County Sheriff, and Strawberry Point Police.

Recker had a previous run-in with the law, leading them on a chase in Strawberry Point.
