Area Man Busted for Alleged Shoplifting in Oelwein

An Independence man has been arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a business in Oelwein.

Just before 8pm Thursday (Dec. 14), Oelwein Police were called to the 100 block of South Frederick on the report of an apparent shoplifter.

21 year old James Toms was taken into custody, on charges of Theft 5th Degree, and Criminal Trespass. Both charges are simple misdemeanors.
