Area Man Arrested on Domestic Assault Charge

Fayette County authorities have arrested an area man on an assault charge

. Just before 6pm Wednesday (June 28), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a domestic disturbance, west of Oelwein on "T" Avenue.

An investigation determined that 33 year old Nicholas Spratt had allegedly physically assaulted a woman at the residence. Spratt was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault. He was held until an appearance before a magistrate.
