Area Man Arrested After Putting His Car in a Ditch

An investigation into a vehicle that ended up in a Fayette County ditch, led to the arrest of a West Union man.

At about 10:30pm Friday (Feb. 22), the Fayette County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 93, west of Fayette. 34 year old Brian Otdoerfer was the driver of the 2010 Chevy Impala that entered a ditch. No one was injured, and there was no damage.

Investigating deputies arrested Otdoerfer on charges of Driving While his License is Suspended, and Possession of Stolen Property. He was held in the Fayette County jail to wait for his initial court appearance.

The Fayette Police Department assisted the Fayette County Sheriff in the investigation.
