Area Man Arrested After Driving Truck into Ditch
A West Union man has been arrested after putting his vehicle in the ditch.
The Fayette County Sheriff got a 911 call just before 5am Sunday (June 5), reporting a vehicle in the ditch on Neon Road, about 2 miles west of West Union.
Investigating officers determined that the driver, 21 year old John Lauer of West Union, was allegedly driving drunk, when he lost control of his truck and drove into the ditch.
No injuries were reported. Lauer was taken to the Fayette County Jail on charges of OWI 1st offense, and failure to maintain control. He was later released on $2,300 bond.
