The New Hampton School district will be able to continue with their plans of building additions to the school buildings.

In a special election held Tuesday, a $19 million bond was placed before voters in the district. The issue needed a 60% super majority for passage, and received 62.2%. The unofficial vote tally was 1,252 "yes", to 760 "no" votes.

The additions will include a new gym, an Agriculture Tech Center, and new classrooms for grades 5 through 8.

There was no indication when construction would begin.
