The Oelwein Police Department reports some arrests over the long Labor Day weekend:

On Sunday (Sept. 4) shortly after 5pm, 31 year old Nathan Rolfes of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Black Hawk County warrant, for failure to appear for an IDAP hearing; the original charge was Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury.

On Saturday just before 10:30pm, 25 year old Larissa Louch of Oelwein was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for the original charge of Driving While her License is Suspended.

And at about 12:30am Saturday, 54 year old Milton Gray (the second) of Oelwein was taken into custody in the 200 block of 3rd Street NW on a Tama County warrant for a charge of Theft 2nd Degree.

Oelwein Police are investigating a criminal mischief complaint. The report on the vandalism came from the 500 block of 1st Avenue NW, just before 11pm Tuesday (Sept. 6). No other information was released.

And a motorist is being charged with causing a traffic accident in Oelwein. It happened at about 1pm Friday (Sept. 2) at the intersection of North Frederick Avenue and 7th street NW; a car driven by Phyllis Morgan collided with a car driven by Michelle Peti. No injuries were reported; Morgan was charged with failure to yield.
