Another Display Pays Tribute to “Christmas Vacation” Movie
Last week, we had a guy call "911" when he saw a Clark Griswold mannequin hanging from the roof Now this...
Not to be out-done...we have our second "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" movie decoration salute.
Steve Harbaugh from South Jersey, is going all out with his Christmas display this year by recreating the Clark Griswold's elaborate display of lights on his house, along with a classic scene from the movie.
First, he wrapped his house in 7,500 lights. Thatta boy! But the part that really makes it...is he parked an old RV out front, with a mannequin that waves to people as they go by. And it looks like Cousin Eddie from the movie. Click here for a video of the house and Cousin Eddie waving
Harbaugh recreated the scene where Eddie is standing in a bathrobe...drinking a beer (a "Meister Brau" nonetheless)...and pumping raw sewage out of his RV. "Merry Christmas...shi..." well, you know the rest of classic line! Click here for a photo ...it's all VERY well done!
Harbaugh is asking each person who stops by the display to bring at least one toy with them for a toy drive to collect donations for Toys for Tots. And his goal is to fill the entire RV with toys. He's already received hundreds of donations, so it sounds like some kid's Christmas dreams may come true. However, I'm not so sure about Eddie's kids Rocky and Ruby Sue, they may get the shaft again this year. (lol)
