The Fayette County Sheriff reports a couple of car/deer accidents on rural roads.


Both happened Monday (Sept. 24), the first one at just before 8pm. 74 year old Lester Baade of West Union was traveling east on an area road, when he struck a deer in the road. No one was hurt, and damage was minimal.

The second accident happened at about 11pm Monday, north of West Union on Highway 150. An SUV driven by 28 year old Kelsey Exum of West Union hit a deer near Nature Road. There were no injuries, but there was $2,000 in damage to the 2006 Ford Explorer.
