A Clermont man is being charged with causing an accident in rural Fayette County.

It happened at about 7am Monday, in the 27,000 block of Harding Road, near Clermont.

A car driven by 22 year old Wyatt Schott, traveled onto the north shoulder of the road; Schott lost control, vaulted over a driveway, and the vehicle rolled into the ditch.

Schott was taken to the West Union hospital by the Clermont ambulance, and treated for minor injuries. The car was totaled.

Schott is charged with failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

The Clermont Fire Department assisted the Fayette County Sheriff at the scene.
