Accident at Upper Iowa University Parking Lot

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a recent accident in the city of Fayette.

It happened shortly after 2pm Monday, March 23rd, near the intersection of East Madison and Union Streets.

46 year old Brad Gardner of Manchester was in the process of pulling out of an Upper Iowa University parking lot, when he was hit by a northbound car driven by 29 year old Travis Petsche of Fayette.

No injuries were reported, but there was $3,000 damage to Gardner's pickup, and $1,000 damage to Petsche's car.

Petsche was cited for driving while his license is suspended. The accident remains under investigation.
