The Oelwein Police Department reports numerous recent, unrelated arrests in the community.
In the latest incident, Sunday (Sept. 25) at about 5:30pm, 22 year old Annelease Anderson of Dows was taken into custody, after someone reported a burglary in the 400 block of 7th Street SE. Anderson was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, and Interference with Official acts.

Just after 5pm Sunday, in the same break-in investigation, 22 year old Dakota Williams of Oelwein was arrested for Burglary 3rd Degree, Possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with official acts, and a Tattoo permit violation.

At 1pm Sunday, 22 year old Jacob Snay of Oelwein was arrested for Trespassing, after a citizen reported a suspicious person in the 400 block of 13th Avenue NW.
Saturday afternoon (Sept. 24), Oelwein police took 45 year old Maxwell Rolon of Oelwein into custody in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue NW; this was on a New York State Warrant for a parole violation; the original charge was Manslaughter-1.

Oelwein Officers were called to disturbance Friday evening in the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE. There they arrested 54 year old David Perry of Oelwein for disorderly conduct.

Late Friday night, police were dispatched to a fight in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue NE. 25 year old Michaella Green of Oelwein was chaged with Assault.

Three people were arrested Wednesday in separate incidents:

47 year old Craig Reisner of Oelwein was charged with violation of a no-contact order, following an incident in the 10 block of 3rd Street NW.
36 year old Larry Martin of Oelwein was arrested on a Freeport, Illinois warrant for domestic assault, in the 300 block of 7th Avenue SW.
And 25 year old Aaron Schmitt of Independence was charged with domestic abuse assault, as a result of an incident in the 200 block of 4th Street NW.
