A weekend accident on an eastern Iowa farm involving a Utility Vehicle, has taken the life of a 12 year old girl.

The accident happened just before 3:30pm Sunday (April 25) at a private property in the 14,000 block of 328th Avenue near Springbroook.

Emergency personnel were called out on the report of a UTV rollover accident on a rural Springbrook farm.

A 12 year old girl was injured, and was not conscious.

Emergency workers administered extensive life saving measures, however the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information on the accident was being released; it's under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff. They were assisted at the scene by Bellevue emergency medical service, Iowa DNR, and Springbook Fire and Rescue.
