4 Injured When Car Hits Train Near Waverly

A Northeast Iowa woman is being charged, after crashing her car into a train in rural Bremer County.

It happened shortly after 4pm Tuesday (July 18), in the 1300 block of 240th Street, south of Waverly.

34 year old Kristen Limkemann of Shell Rock was driving eastbound, but failed to see an approaching Canadian National train, which was coming from the north.
Limkemann's car struck the engine of the train.

She and her 3 passengers were taken to the Waverly Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Limkemann was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
