A three vehicle accident early this (Thursday) morning near Palo is under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff.

It happened just before 6:30am at the intersection of Palo Marsh Road and Power Plant Road, just north of Palo.

A pickup driven by 18 year old Hunter Newman of Palo failed to stop for vehicles that had stopped at the intersection, and rear-ended a car driven by 34 year old Michael Rubocki of Central City. Rubocki's car was pushed into the back of a car driven by 45 year old Darrell Anderson of Ionia.

Rubocki was taken to St. Luke's hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Linn County sheriff, all of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
