2 Hurt in Pickup Rollover, Car Totaled in Deer Collision
A weekend rollover accident in northern Fayette County, put two people in the hospital.
The Fayette County Sheriff received a 911 call at about 1:30pm Sunday (Aug. 2), reporting the overturned vehicle at the intersection of Scenic Road and "T" Avenue, west of St. Lucas.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado, 53 year old Eileen Richards of Belmond, was eastbound, when she attempted a left hand turn and lost control.
The pickup entered the ditch and rolled over, coming to rest on it's wheels. Richards and a passenger were taken to the Winneshiek County Medical Center in Decorah to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The pickup was totaled. The accident is still under investigation.
Also, Fayette County Deputies were summoned to a car/deer accident on Nature road between St. Lucas and Waucoma early Wednesday (July 29).
29 year old Ella Nissley of Onalaska, Wisconsin, was westbound when a deer came out onto the road and collided with her car. No one was injured, but there was $1,500 damage to her 2012 Ford Fusion.
