Woman Who Allegedly Tried to Kill Her Mother With Insulin Wants Trial Moved

A Northeast Iowa woman, accused of trying to kill her mother by injecting her with insulin, wants her trial moved out of Floyd County.

44 year old Jennifer Bean of Charles City is charged with attempted murder. Bean was initially charged with Domestic Abuse Assault and Interruption of Emergency Communications, after Charles City Police were called to a home on November 6th.

After obtaining and executing a search warrant, authorities charged Bean with attempted murder.

Bean is now asking for a change of venue for her trial, because of pre-trial publicity.

Bean also pointed out that she is a well-known Charles City/Floyd County resident.

A hearing to move Bean's trial out of Floyd County, will be held January 22nd.
