An Eastern Iowa woman had to be taken to a hospital, after she crashed an ATV at her home in rural Linn County.

Just before 5pm Sunday (April 28), the Linn County Sheriff, Linn County Rescue, Fairfax Fire Department and Area Ambulance Service were sent to an accident that involved injuries, at an address on Julie Lane, northeast of Fairfax.

An investigation determined that 39 year old Sarah Moses of Fairfax had been riding an all-terrain vehicle in her yard, when she tried to jump over a large mound of dirt, without success.

Moses fell off of the ATV when she landed, and lost consciousness for a short period of time. She was not wearing a helmet, and there were no passengers on the vehicle.

Moses was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
