Weekend Theft and Burglary in Oelwein

A weekend theft and a burglary are under investigation by the Oelwein Police Department.

The theft was reported just before 9:30am Saturday (Feb. 28) in the 100 block of 1st Street SE.

The break-in was reported to police at about 9:30am Saturday, from the 100 block of 5th Avenue NE.

No other details were being released, other than they are both still under investigation.
