
Two Waterloo Robberies Under Investigation
Waterloo police are investigating a pair of armed robberies, both of which occurred at local businesses on Sunday (Nov. 19, 2017).
The first hold-up occurred at Yesway convenience store, 1976 Franklin St., around 3 a.m. Police said a man entered the business and demanded money from the clerk, while displaying a handgun. The suspect was wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt and ski mask.
According to police, the second incident happened several hours later. Around 8 p.m., a man wearing a hood and ski mask robbed Dollar General, 2935 Logan Ave., at gunpoint. The suspect also demanded money from the clerk.
