Vehicle Lands on It’s Side in a Ditch Near Fairbank

The Buchanan County Sheriff is looking into the circumstances of an accident near Fairbank that caused a vehicle to roll onto it's side.

Buchanan County deputies were called out shortly after 6pm Friday (Jan. 3) to the 1400 block of 120th Street, south of Fairbank.

A preliminary investigation determined a 2005 Toyota Sienna, being driven by Javier Lara of Marshalltown, was traveling west on 120th Street, when he lost control.

The vehicle left the road into the ditch, and rolled onto it's side.

Injuries were minor.

The accident is still under investigation.

The Buchanan County Sheriff was assisted by the Fairbank Fire Department and Ambulance Service.
