42-year-old Antonio De La Rosa became the first person to make a solo paddleboarding crossing from California to Hawaii. He left San Francisco on June 9th and made it to the coast of Hawaii last week.

There was no motor involved: It was all paddling, currents, waves, and wind. His paddleboard featured a sleeping cabin, storage containers, and he had some solar panels to power his electronic accessories like GPS. He lost only 10 pounds on his 76-day journey.
