Teen Arrested for 2 Counts of Assault Near Independence

Buchanan County authorities have filed charges against an area teenager for a weekend assault incident.

On Saturday (Nov. 10) at about 6:45pm, the Buchanan County Sheriff was called out to an incident in the 2200 block of Iowa Avenue, which is west of Independence.

A 14 year old boy, whose name was not released, was arrested on charges of 2 counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

The juvenile was then released but will be referred to Juvenile Court Services.
