Rural Sumner Accident Involves Deer

The Fayette County Sheriff reports a traffic accident, south of Sumner, involving a deer.

It happened at about 12:30am Tuesday (March 27) in the 13,000 block of County Road V-68. A pickup driven by 20 year old John Rohde of Sumner, was traveling north when a deer ran out onto the road and was struck. No one was injured; there was $3,000 in damage to Rohde's 1997 Ford Ranger.

And the Fayette County Sheriff has arrested a Maynard man on an outstanding warrant. on Monday, March 26, 40 year old Aaron Rochford was taken into custody on a warrant for Theft in the 2nd Degree, and Burglary in the 3rd Degree. Rochford was held on $10,000 bond.
