Quasqueton Man Charged With Firearm Possession

Buchanan County authorities recently seized several firearms and different calibers of ammunition while searching a trailer home.

On Friday, sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at 310 S. 3rd Street, Lot 8, in Quasqueton. Authorities said they discovered multiple weapons and various types of ammunition during the investigation.

Following the search, deputies took Cecil Johnson, 43, of Quasqueton, into custody. He was charged with possession of a firearm by felon, then booked into the Buchanan County Jail.

According to sheriff's officials, the case remains under investigation. Authorities said additional charges are pending.
