Oelwein Police Make Arrests Over the Weekend

A Lamont man has been arrested by Oelwein Police on an outstanding warrant.

Shortly after 11am Sunday (July 1), officers pulled over a vehicle in the 10 block of 2nd Avenue SE. As a result, 24 year old Tyler Robinson was taken into custody on 2 Manchester Police Department warrants, for Theft in the 4th Degree, and Driving While his License is Barred.

Oelwein Police have arrested a Vinton woman. Just after 8:30pm Saturday, after an interaction with an officer in the 10 block of 1st Street SW, 58 year old Renee McDonald was taken into custody for Violation of a No-Contact Order.

And on Thursday, a Fairbank man was arrested by Oelwein Police, on a Buchanan County Warrant. 53 year old Franklin Brown was wanted for a Probation Violation on an original charge of Amphetamine Possession. Brown had an additional Probation Violation warrant from Linn County.
