Oelwein Police Make Arrest for Burglary, and Investigate Vandalism
The Oelwein Police Department has arrested an Oelwein woman for burglary, and are asking for help in investigating several vandalism incidents.
Oelwein Police arrested a local woman, after officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. The incident was called in to police on Friday (May 1st), at about 9:15am. The break-in was in the 900 block of 4th Avenue NE. 35 year old Allyssa Garrison of Oelwein was taken into custody on two counts of Burglary-3rd Degree. Both counts are Class "D" felonies.
And the Oelwein Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving numerous incidents of criminal mischief. On Friday, the office took several reports of vandalism to property in Oelwein. Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact Oelwein Police.
