Sept. 24 funeral announcements

Services for a Sumner woman, 89 year old Marjorie Meyer, are Saturday at 10:30am at St. John Lutheran church in Sumner. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Friday at the church, and an hour before services. Becker Milnes funeral home in Sumner is assisting the family.

Memorial services for a Decorah man, 90 year old Gordon Pfister, are Saturday at 1pm at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah. Inurnment in Lutheran cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the funeral home.

Services for an Independence man, 76 year old Virgil Collins, are Monday at 10am at Immanuel Lutheran church in Independence. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Visitation is 2-6pm Sunday at White funeral home in Independence.

Services for a New Hampton woman, 76 year old Catherine "Katie" Schmit, are Monday at 10:30am at Holy Family Parish. The service will also be available for viewing via Conway Markham funeral home's Facebook page. Burial in New Hampton cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church.
