Services for a Waterville man, 86 year old Gene Shogren, are Friday at 1pm at Martin funeral home in Waukon. Burial with Military Honors at Oak Hill cemetery in Lansing. Friends may call 11am until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Services for a Waverly man, 72 year old Earl "E.J." Martin, are Saturday at 10:30am at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua. Burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City. Friends may call 4-7pm Friday at the funeral home, and an hour before services.

Services for an Independence man, 72 year old Leonard "Butch" Hunter, Jr., are Saturday at 10:30am at White funeral home in Independence. Burial in St. John's cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Friday at the funeral home.

Services for a Cresco woman, 95 year old Dolores Gerber, are Monday at 1:30pm at Orleans Lutheran church in rural Ridgeway. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-6pm Sunday at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah, and an hour before services at the church.

A Cresco woman, 77 year old Mary Horsfall, died Tuesday; an open house memorial visitation will be held Saturday, 1-4pm, at her home at 624 2nd Avenue East in Cresco. Hindt Hudek funeral home is handling arrangements.
