A public memorial service for a Fredericksburg man, 75 year old James Ehr, will be Sunday, July 26th at 11:30am at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in Fredericksburg. The service will also be available for viewing on Facebook Live at the same time. Friends may call 10-11:30am Sunday (July 26) at the funeral home.

A Winthrop man, 73 year old Eugene "Gene" Buhr, died Tuesday. Services are pending at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein.

Hawkeye resident and longtime North Fayette Valley teacher and coach, 87 year old Steve Story, died Tuesday. A private family graveside service was held in Olin on Wednesday (July 15th). A mobile memorial will be held Sunday, July 26th, from 2pm to 4:30pm outside North Fayette Valley High School in West Union. Guests will remain in their vehicles, as they drive through various points in the memorial. A celebration of Steve's life will be held as soon as it is safe to do so. Burnham Wood Grau funeral home in West Union is assisting the family.
