
Man Arrested In Waterloo Shooting
A Waterloo man has been arrested on charges connected to a shooting in the city that left another man injured.
Dequonterio Galloway-Bass is accused of shooting 41-year-old Michael Barron in the torso on Monday. Police were called to the 700 block of W. Park Ave. shortly after 11 AM and found Barron suffering from a gunshot wound.

Barron was transported a local hospital. Police said Wednesday that Barron continues to receive medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Monday's shooting occurred during a winter storm. While at the scene, police noticed footprints in the snow. According to authorities, officers followed the footprints to an apartment house at 705-1/2 W. 3rd St. and made contact with the occupants.
Police said the 21-year-old Galloway-Bass was then taken into custody. He was booked into the Black Hawk County Jail on several charges: Dominion/Control of a firearm by a felon, carrying weapons and willful injury.
