Man Arrested for Assault, and a Woman for a Meth Warrant

An Oelwein woman has been arrested early this morning (Wednesday, Aug. 14) on an outstanding warrant involving methamphetamine.

30 year old Amber Criqui was taken into custody at about 3:30am. She was wanted on a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Oelwein Police also arrested a local man after responding to a report of an altercation in the first block of 8th Street SE. 28 year old Laquay Taylor of Oelwein was taken into custody just before 7pm Monday, on the charge of Assault Causing Injury. He was also wanted on a Dubuque County warrant for Failure to Appear for Probation; the original charge was Domestic Assault.
