Local Man Arrested During a Routine Traffic Stop

An Oelwein man has been arrested after being pulled over by local police.

At about 11:30am Wednesday (March 14), Oelwein Police stopped a vehicle in the 200 block of 4th Street SE. The driver, 54 year old Mark Shaw, was taken into custody on charges of Prohibited Acts, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While License is Suspended.

Another Oelwein man, 49 year old Matthew Wenthe, was arrested Tuesday (March 13) at about 9pm, on a charge of Theft 5th Degree. The arrest was from an investigation into an incident that happened on January 31st. No other information was released.
