The 17th annual Iowa Irish Fest is set to be even bigger than years prior.

. Iowa Irish Fest is a celebration of all different types of Irish culture. From the food to the drinks and even to the musical acts, the Cedar Valley Irish Culture Association knows how to organize a big, green party!

Iowa Irish Fest is located in the Lincoln Park area of Downtown Waterloo and takes place during the first full weekend in August.

Officials have announced even more of the musical acts that will take to the stage that weekend.

Not only are the headliners mostly ironed out, but the Cedar Valley Irish Culture Association is filling in the gaps for the rest of the performers throughout the three day event.

The band is made up of a bunch of college friends who discovered their shared love of Celtic music more than a decade ago. Scythian headlines various music festivals throughout the nation year round.

They are a festival favorite every year (and one of my favorite acts at Iowa Irish Fest).

Yet another festival favorite!

Gaelic Storm, described as "a multi-national, Celtic juggernaut" is always a crowd pleaser when they perform in Waterloo. The group is on the road 200 days a year, and they have a wide ranging appeal to fans of all genres of music.

In addition, multiple acts have been announced with no specific performance date scheduled yet. Here are the rest of the performances you might be able to check out that weekend.

  • Cedar Glen Pipes and Drums
  • Wylde Nept
  • Ballyheigue
  • The Crowfoot Rakes
  • Kellen O'Cullom
  • Sorcha
  • Troid Gaelic
  • Stu Ryan O'Brien
  • Champagne Academy of Irish Dance
  • McNulty Irish Dancers
  • Foy School of Traditional Irish Dance

Tickets for the event are on sale now for $30! These passes will cover full weekend admission. More details about the event will be made available very soon.

Bridegerton-Esque Cabin Mansion In Waterloo

You can live like you're living in your own English regency drama in this Waterloo Cabin Mansion. This is the diamond of the season in the real estate world.

See Inside Roseanne Barr's Eldon Mansion

Roseanne Barr was set to make a home in Iowa. She and her then-husband Tom Arnold were in the midst of building a mansion in Eldon. It was put on hold when the couple eventually split up. This left a beautiful, unfinished, and kind of spooky mansion behind.
