Congratulations are in order for one Evansdale woman who is a whole lot richer after winning a huge lottery prize.

Diane Oltmann bought a scratch ticket from the Iowa Lottery called the "Ruby Red Crossword" scratch game earlier this month. She picked up the ticket from Station Mart 2 on 1119 River Forest Road in Evansdale.

That little ticket essentially changed her life.

Oltmann won the top prize for the "Ruby Red Crossword" game which is $300,000.

"I was pretty shocked and stunned," the Evansdale woman said as she claimed her prize at the lottery headquarters in Clive. "I tried to sleep, but no."

What Is She Going to Spend Her Winnings On?

In the press release from the Iowa Lottery, Diane shared her plans for her lottery prize.

"I just bought a house 18 months ago, so I'm guessing I'd better pay it off," she said.

Besides paying off her mortgage, she's not exactly sure what else she'll be using her new riches on.

Wait...Her Name Sounds Kind of Familiar

If you thought you heard of this woman winning before, you're right!

This isn't the first time that Oltmann has won a decent amount of money with the Iowa Lottery.

In July of 2023, the Evansdale woman played the scratch game "$100,000 Mega Crossword" and won! She took home the 74th prize of $10,000.

Roseanne Barr Abandoned Iowa Mansion in Eldon, IA

I fell into a rabbit hole when I found out that Roseanne Barr almost had a mansion in Iowa. After seeing the current state of the property on Facebook, I was amazed that such an extravagant project could be so quickly overtaken by nature. Only two hours away from Waterloo, this abandoned field could have hosted some of the coolest and elite Hollywood parties in the Midwest. The current photos were taken by Gable Fry on a recent trip he took.
