Good news for Eastern Iowa golfers! Just yesterday (March 11th), Twin Pines and Mini Pines began welcoming golfers back to the greens for the 2025 season!

Twin Pines Golf Course, located at 3800 42nd Street NE, is one of three golf courses that is under the umbrella of the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department. It's also the first of the three to open in 2025! The course, driving range, and clubhouse all opened on March 11th, and golfers are now able to book a tee time and purchase season passes and punch cards. A recent post on the Cedar Rapids Golf Courses Facebook page reads:

"Beginning Wednesday, the clubhouse will open at 7:30am daily with tee times beginning at 8:00am; however, golf availability will be dependent on the weather."

If miniature golf is more your style, Mini Pines also opened this week! The 18-hole course is located right next to Twin Pines Golf Course. and the city's website says that "each hole provides a unique experience that can be fun and social, or competitive." The course is open seven days a week and the spring hours are 10 a.m. to dusk. It's $8 for ages 19 to 61, $7 for senior citizens, $6 for ages 5 to 18, and $3 for ages 4 and under. Punch cards are also available.

Ellis Golf Course and Gardner Golf Course are not yet open to golfers, but an update from the city says "preparations are underway." For the latest updates, you can follow the Cedar Rapids Golf Courses Facebook page HERE.

Airport National Golf Course, the Cedar Rapids course out on Wright Brothers Blvd, has also opened for the season, and they give daily hours on their website. The latest update (3/12) says that all 27 holes are open (walking or riding) and that the mini golf course is open, but the driving range is closed. Get more information and book a tee time on their website HERE.
