Enjoy a Unique, Farm-to-Table Dinner in Downtown Cedar Rapids This Month
The Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance is putting on a brand new event this month where you can enjoy an intimate, open-air, farm-to-table dining experience!
Gathered and Grown: a Feast of Five Seasons
The inaugural Gathered and Grown event will take place on Sunday, July 27th at 6 p.m. in front of Cobble Hill on 2nd Street SE in Downtown Cedar Rapids. It's described as an "extraordinary birthday party" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Market After Dark.
Gathered and Grown: a Feast of Five Seasons is limited to ages 21 and up, and promises "an evening of live music and locally-sourced luxury." The official website reads:
"Guests will enjoy a one-hour cocktail hour, followed by a three-course meal curated and prepared by the acclaimed chefs from Cobble Hill, using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced directly from Downtown Farmers Market vendors."
Cobble Hill has not yet revealed the official menu for the event, but whatever they serve, you know it'll be good. The restaurant is consistently one of the highest-rated in Eastern Iowa, and co-owner/head chef Andy Schumacher has even been nominated for the James Beard Best Chef Midwest Award!
