A local restaurant with several corridor locations could soon be opening locations in states other than Iowa.

That restaurant chain would be Barrel House. The Davenport-based restaurant has seen rapid expansion here in the corridor, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette. First, it was a location in Marion in 2021, then downtown Cedar Rapids in 2022, and soon the latest corridor location will be in Coralville. But the Gazette reports that the expansion of locations could soon include many other states.

If you've never been to a Barrel House location, you're missing out! They have amazing burgers, plus a wide selection of wraps, sandwiches, signature sauces, and a selection of locally brewed beers. Chris Posey, the director of marketing and sales, told the Gazette that the burgers are the star of the show. They've made with never frozen Angus beef. Other products are hand-breaded or hand-cut before being fried to order. Posey also told the Gazette that each general manager is in charge of finding local breweries and beers that customers love, so they can be featured at that location.

Great food inside of a family-friendly atmosphere. That sounds like a combination that would work nearly everywhere. And that is what Barrel House is hoping for. With its Iowa locations as a road map, the Gazette reports that the restaurant will soon begin a phase of rapid growth in up to 37 different states. If you'd like to experience Barrel House for yourself they have locations at 102 2nd Street SE in Cedar Rapids, 295 Tower Terrace Road in Marion, and opening soon at 3230 Redhawk Street, Suite 300 in Coralville.
