Golf used to be a sport that, at least in Iowa, you couldn't play year-round. Thanks to technology, that has changed. Indoor golf simulators have become a popular option for Iowa golfers who can't escape to a warmer climate during the cold winter months. One of the nation's leading indoor golf companies is bringing its state-of-the-art simulators to Cedar Rapids!

Back Nine Golf Coming to Cedar Rapids!

CBS2 reports that the Back Nine Golf franchise will open its first Back Nine golf simulator location in Cedar Rapids this March. You'll be able to stop by and work on your short game or straighten out your driver in a climate controled environment without having to worry about the temperature outside! The facility will be located at 408 Edgewood Road NW in Cedar Rapids.

What Kind of Technology Does Back Nine Golf Use?

The facility will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for fans of golf who want to practice around the clock. CBS2 reports that Back Nine will feature Full Swing Golf Simulators, which track your ball flight and provide detailed data on your golf swing. The technology is used by many PGA Tour pros. You'll also be able to play on famous golf courses from around the world!

CBS2 reports that Back Nine will also feature WellPutt BigTilt Wave XL putting green that can simulate real on-course conditions!

Membership Information Coming Soon

CBS2 reports that pricing and membership information for the new Cedar Rapids Back Nine will be revealed closer to the opening date, sometime in March. I looked at information for the Back Nine location in Ankeny, Iowa, and membership prices start at around $200 per month. Corporate packages are also available.
