Deer Damages Vehicle in rural Fayette County

The Fayette County Sheriff reports a car/deer accident that happened Thursday morning (May 25) south of the city of Fayette.

Shortly after 7:30am, the sheriff was notified of a traffic accident involving a deer on Highway 150, just north of 110th Street.

A vehicle driven by 63 year old Larry Kaeding of Coralville was headed north when he struck a deer that was crossing the road.

No one was injured, but there was $3,000 damage to Kaeding's 2006 Chevy Suburban.
