The streak of consecutive losses reached seven games for the UNI Panthers Wednesday night (Jan. 11, 2017).

Playing without pre-season Missouri Valley Conference player-of-the-year Jeremy Morgan, the Panthers fell to Bradley, 72-61, at Carver Arena in Peoria, Ill.

Morgan missed the game after injuring an ankle during Sunday's loss to Wichita State. The senior guard was out of UNI's line-up for the first time after playing in 117-straight games.

Bradley (8-10 overall, 3-2 MVC) scored the first seven points against the Panthers before UNI responded and eventually tied the score at 20-20, following back-to-back three-pointers from Klint Carlson with 7:48 left in the half. The Braves, though, answered with a 10-2 run and closed the half on a 22-7 spurt. Bradley led 42-27 at the break.

After intermission, UNI (5-11, 0-5) trimmed the Braves' lead to 50-44 with 10:44 left in the game. It was as close as the Panthers would get. Bradley pushed the lead back to double-figures, at 56-44, on a pair of three-pointers Luuk van Bree.

Redshirt freshman Spencer Haldeman led the Panthers with 16 points.

UP NEXT: UNI returns home for a Sunday match-up with the Drake Bulldogs. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls. Tickets are available for purchase to the game starting as low as $10 for adults and $5 for youth (16 and under). To buy tickets, log on to www.UNIPanthers.com/tickets or call 319-273-4849.
