Arrest For Disturbance Reveals Outstanding Warrant

Authorities have arrested an area man after learning during an investigation, that he is wanted on an outstanding warrant.

At about 10:30pm Tuesday (Aug. 1), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a disturbance on South River Street in Wadena. There, they took 22 year old Brian Knecht of Wadena, into custody on a charge of Interference with Official Acts.

An investigation determined that Knecht was also wanted on a warrant for a probation violation, with bond set at $5,000.

Knecht was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol in the investigation.
