Is this the hardest working superstar in music?

Imagine having so many of our nuisance potholes in Cedar Rapids filled and cleaned up while getting serenaded to the likes of "Forever Young" or "Maggie May"! That wasn't exactly the case this week when singer Rod Stewart was seen by numerous media outlets working alongside road crews near his home in Harlow, England, and the truth turned out to be that he was doing it mostly to protect his own property, as in his Ferrari.

But as People magazine notes, his reasoning wasn't entirely selfish.

The other day there was an ambulance with a burst tire. My Ferrari can't get through here at all, so me and the boys thought we'd come and do it ourselves.

He also seemed to take a "dig" (no pun intended) at the very crews he was working with, saying in an Instagram post:

I'm repairing the street where I live because no one can be bothered to do it

The reason I bring up this story is because of the plethora of potholes and street issues that can be seen and heard as discussion topics around the City of Five Seasons. No one is going to criticize the hard-working road crews across our city every day, but you can't deny the number of problem streets and potholes in this town. In fact, let's take an informal survey below. Leave a comment with the worst pothole in Cedar Rapids and maybe we can get "Sir" Rod to town to fix the problem.

(How long has it been since he last appeared in concert in our neck of the woods? ;-))
