An Arrest, 2 Burglaries, and a Theft in Oelwein

A local man has been arrested for assault and other charges following an incident in Oelwein.

Just before 10pm Wednesday (June 28), Oelwein Police were called to the 100 block of 2nd Avenue NW. During an investigation of the incident, 27 year old Skylar Buhr of Oelwein was taken into custody on charges of Assault, Driving While his License is Revoked, and a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear in Court for the charge of Driving While Revoked.

Oelwein Police are also investigating 2 burglaries and a theft. The break-in's were reported Wednesday in the 10 block of 1st Street NE, and the 10 block of South Frederick. The theft incident happened Wednesday afternoon in the 10 block of South Frederick. No other information was released.
