1st Decorah Eagle Egg of the Season Hatches

One of the Decorah eagle's eggs has finally hatched.

The first of the bird's 3 eggs hatched earlier this week.

According to officials at the Raptor Resource Project, located near Decorah, it took just under 38 days to hatch. The other 2 eggs should break open in the next few days.

The main nest is under constant internet camera surveillance, available to view by the public.
