Flood water from the rising Black Hawk Creek has forced the closure of West Ridgeway Ave. in Waterloo.

City officials closed the busy four-lane road between Greyhound Dr. and Deere Road Wednesday morning (Sept. 5, 2018). According to a press release, Ridgeway Ave. will reopen as soon as the flood waters recede and safe travel can once again be guaranteed.

The section of Ridgeway Ave. that's closed runs through the Katoski Greenbelt.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and be aware of rising water.
