The Fayette County Sheriff reports a couple of weekend accidents in the county.

At about 9pm Saturday (Oct. 7), the sheriff received a 911 call, reporting a rollover accident on Acorn Road, just south of Elgin. 17 year old Maria Kerr was driving north, when her vehicle hit a patch of gravel. This caused Kerr to over-correct, and enter the ditch, where the vehicle rolled.

Kerr was not hurt, but a juvenile passenger was taken to the West Union Hospital by Tri-State Ambulance.
Kerr's 1998 GMC Envoy was considered a total loss.

No one was hurt, but Hernandez was charged with Failure to Maintain Control. His 2005 Chevrolet car had $3,000 damage.
