A teenage driver is recovering from injuries in a one-car accident in Linn County.
Shortly after 9pm Saturday, the Linn County Sheriff was notified of the accident southeast of Palo.

A 16 year old boy from Cedar Rapids had been driving west on Ellis Road NW, when he hit a patch of ice. His car, a 2003 Ford Mustang, went out of control and into a ditch, stopping on some river ice.

The driver was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The teen, whose name was not released, was wearing his seat belt.
